Ireland is an island and consists of the Republic of Ireland, on the south, and the Irish portion of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. Ireland was the country of origin of the Campbell Family after Jacob Campbell moved there from England. Kermit Campbell and his family lived in Dublin, Ireland before moving to America. Ireland was also the country of origin of the McCormick Family after Simon Campbell moved there from Scotland (The McCormick name actually originated 13 generations earlier)
